🐾 Safari Messy Play Session

Grab your binoculars and join us for a wild adventure at Messy Monkey Makers’ Safari messy play session!

Designed for children aged 6 months to 5 years and 11 months, this session invites your little explorer to step into the heart of the savannah, where they’ll discover animal-themed sensory trays, muddy watering holes, and safari-inspired crafts — all created to support sensory development, encourage creativity, and most importantly, be fun!

Whether they’re roaring like a lion, stomping like an elephant, or splashing in the watering hole, your child will enjoy a carefully curated selection of activities that are taste-safe, allergy-conscious, and developmentally appropriate. From squishy textures to colourful jungle landscapes, there’s something to captivate every curious mind and tiny hand.

The session lasts 1 hour, including plenty of time to explore each tray, get stuck into the themed craft activity, and take part in a joyful group finale — which include bubbles and foam.

We know mess can be daunting, but there’s no clean-up for you — just bring a towel, a change of clothes, and your sense of adventure.

We also offer discounted sibling tickets for brothers and sisters safari25siblingdisc. Please note that using this code does come with terms and conditions which you can find here.

Come and make some wild memories with us at this safari-inspired messy play session — where play is encouraged, mess is welcome, and every child gets to be apart of the savanna!

Event FAQs
What is a messy play session?
A messy play session is a structured activity designed for children to explore and interact with various sensory materials such as sand, water, paint, and other textures in a safe environment. These sessions encourage creativity, motor skill development, and sensory exploration while providing a wonderful opportunity for parents and guardians to join in and share the fun.We do ask that parents and guardians actively supervise their children during the session to ensure everyone's safety. Our staff are on hand to facilitate the activities and are first-aid trained, so you can feel confident that support is available if needed. Together, we create a welcoming and enjoyable space where everyone can make memories and build stronger bonds through play.
What should I bring to a messy play session?
You should bring: A spare set of clothes for your child. A towel or wipes for clean-up. A bag to carry any soiled items. Comfortable clothes for yourself in case you get messy too.
Are messy play sessions safe for children?
Yes, messy play sessions are designed with safety in mind. All materials used are child-friendly, non-toxic, and safe for skin contact. We provide signs with every activity to inform you if an activity is 'taste-safe' so that you can have peace of mind around our activities. We are also always on hand and continually communicate with parents throughout the session to ensure safety during activities.
What if my child has allergies or sensitivities?
Before attending, be sure to inform us about your child's allergies or sensitivities. We include a form in our confirmation email that allows you to disclose allergies along with the name(s) of the attendee(s).
Can I book multiple children for one session?
Absolutely! When booking, please provide the full name(s) of all children who will be attending. This helps us prepare for each attendee and maintain a safe, organized session. We also offer a sibling discount code, which is always available and can be found in the description of the event.
