Hello, I’m Chelsea, and I am thrilled to own Messy Monkey Makers, where we specialize in providing enriching messy play experiences for children aged 6 months to 5 years old.
With a background in Childcare, I am deeply passionate about early childhood development and the crucial role messy play plays in fostering creativity, exploration, and learning during these formative years.

Beyond the messy playroom, you can find me spending time with my daughter, family and friends but my passion lies in creating meaningful experiences for young children and their families.

My journey in childcare began when I completed a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education from Kingston University back in 2007. Fast forward to 2020, at the age of 31, I ventured into a new chapter, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Children’s Development and Learning, graduating with Second Class Honours in December 2023.
Currently, I’m a devoted practitioner in a lively preschool room at a local day nursery. Additionally, I serve as Deputy Manager for the breakfast and afterschool club. You can often find me stirring up fun as the designated “mess maker” in our workplace.
Beyond my professional pursuits, I love exploring cosy coffee shops, whipping up delicious baked treats (cakes are my specialty), and enjoying the great outdoors, especially woodlands where I gather items to inspire children’s creativity in my setting. I cherish moments with my partner, friends, and family, as well as my furry companions. I find joy in dancing to club music and diving into captivating books at the library.
